Bulgaria to Host the Second Module of the Regional Program for ICT Companies

SOFIA, May 13th, 2010 – the second module of the Regional ICT Top Class started with a Business Networking Event among participants, mentors and Bulgarian IT companies operating locally.

The first regional program for ICT companies has started in Slovenia

April 2010 marked a special event for development of the ICT cooperation within the region of Southeast Europe, namely the beginning of “CEED Regional Top Class” program. The latter is the first educational program designed specifically for ICT companies that want to expand their businesses regionally and internationally. Ljubljana had the honour of hosting the first module of the program and also more than 70 of its attendees from Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Bulgaria. The next modules will take place in the following months, each time in one of the aforementioned countries’ capitals.

With the opening event that took place on 30 September in the Cankarjev dom club, CEED’s entrepreneurial network has started its 4th season of CEED programmes. The introductory address at the event entitled “The Boldness of Leadership – During Growth, the Crisis and While Having Coffee with Co-Workers” was delivered by the world-renowned expert in the management of change, Dr Ichak Adizes. Afterwards, two generations of entrepreneurs (veteran and young) shared their views on current issues.

CEED Entrepreneurial Centre Hosts Prominent Slovenian Entrepreneurial Figures at the Top Class Programme Graduation Ceremony

At the closing entrepreneurial event that took place on 29 June, the CEED Entrepreneurial Centre hosted prominent figures from the Slovenian entrepreneurial sphere, among them Bogdan Pušnik, Rudi Bric, Branko Drobnak and Zoran Janković. Sponsored by the Ljubljana Municipality, the attendees gathered at the Ljubljana Castle along with sixty-odd successful young entrepreneurs, all members of CEED’s education programme.

Start of the European Project “A better future for women”

CEED Macedonia, the official Cisco Entrepreneur Institute Training Center for Macedonia and YES Incubator, the first Local Institute, in cooperation with the Municipality of Gazi Baba, have started a joint project for training of the unemployed people from Gazi Baba in business and entrepreneurial skills. The project is co-financed by the USAID Macedonian Local Governance Activity Project.
